Augustine Sokimi joined Jamnadas & Associates in August 2011 after graduating from the University of the South Pacific (USP) with a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and a Bachelor of Commerce (BC) majoring in Economics.
While studying in USP, Augustine excelled in moot court litigation winning the award of Best Overall Male Mooter in 2010. Augustine represented USP internationally in the Pan Pacific Moot of 2010 held at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) where his team were finalists and runner-ups to the competition winner and host, QUT.
When he first started with the Firm, Augustine was recruited as an attaché pending his admission to legal practice which required him to first acquire the Professional Diploma in Legal Practice (PDLP). Throughout his attachment Augustine was trained in the art of litigation and legal drafting.
Augustine acquired his PDLP in June 2012 and was admitted to legal practice on 10 August 2012. On his admission, Augustine took on the role of junior solicitor with the Firm and is starting what looks to be a promising career.
